eSoftie LLC ("we") runs SnapLocus. This page explains what we collect and why.
What we collect
- Account details: your name, email address and company name.
- Your photos and folder names: what you upload and how you organize it, plus who created each folder and who added each photo.
- Security and usage records: sign-in events, IP address and browser type, used to protect accounts and prevent abuse.
- Billing information: subscriptions are handled by our payment processor (PayPal). We receive a subscription reference and its status. We never see or store your card or PayPal login details.
How we use it
To provide the service, send sign-in codes and account emails, keep the service secure, and process payments. We don't sell your data or use your photos for advertising.
We may email you about upgrading or about new features. Every email has an unsubscribe link, and you can turn these promotional emails off at any time under Account. Emails about your account, such as sign-in codes, receipts and subscription notices, are still sent.
Photos and metadata
When you upload a photo we resize it and re-encode it. This removes embedded metadata such as GPS location and camera details. Photos are stored in private storage and are only served to signed-in members of your account, or to anyone who has a share link you created. You can turn a share link off at any time.
Who we share it with
Service providers that help us run SnapLocus, such as hosting, email delivery and payment processing, and only as needed to provide the service. We may disclose information if the law requires it.
If your email address has a profile picture at Gravatar, we show it in the app header. Your browser requests it from Gravatar using a scrambled (hashed) version of your email address, so Gravatar receives that hash and your IP address, under Automattic's Privacy Policy. If you have no Gravatar, we show your initials.
Our contact, sign-in and sign-up forms use Cloudflare Turnstile to block automated abuse. When you use these forms, Cloudflare receives technical information from your browser, such as your IP address, under Cloudflare's Privacy Policy. The message you send us is emailed to our support team and is not shared further.
Retention and deletion
We keep your content while your account is active. Deleting a photo or folder removes it from our storage. To close your account and delete its data, contact us.
Cookies
Essential cookies keep you signed in, protect forms from forgery and remember your cookie choice. They are needed for the site to work, so they are always on.
Analytics cookies are optional and off unless you choose "Accept all" in the cookie bar. If you accept, Google Analytics sets cookies on our public pages and the sign-in and sign-up pages to count visits and see which pages are useful. Google then receives your IP address and details about your browser and the pages you view, under Google's Privacy Policy. Analytics is never used inside the app, and Google never sees your photos, folder names or share links. We don't use advertising cookies. If you choose "Essential only", nothing is sent to Google. We keep your choice for 180 days. You can change it at any time: .
